NARAL releases a second ad in the NYS Governor's race. When it comes to choice, Paladino has one word for New York women: NO.

Carl Paladino's Hypocrisy and Non-Apology

Carl Paladino's nephew, whom he's used to defend himself against claims of homophobia is "very offended" by his uncle's anti-gay rhetoric. Meanwhile, Paladino has been cashing in on gay clubs. But the Albany Times Union says his campaign had long soured before the most offense and non-apology.

An Irresponsible 'Weasel'

Newspapers, Republicans and even Paladino's own advisors are blasting the Buffalo candidate following his latest offensive comments. A "low and horrid weasel" whose "cynicism is exceeded only by his poor judgement," Paladino is "shockingly irresponsible" for the timing of his anti-gay rhetoric.

Small Mind, Big Tax Breaks

Newspapers dig up more on Carl's tax breaks -- $118,305 per job created -- and the businessman's bullying. They also blast him for his small mindedness, "weaseling" and "greasing Albany's gears."

Letters Show Statewide Movement Against Paladino

The Assembly and Senate leadership urged all Democratic candidates, in letters released today, to call on their Republican opponents to disassociate themselves from Carl Paladino and his unstable, extremist campaign. NYS Democratic Committee chair Jay Jacobs call Paldino's campaign "the ugliest, most extreme political campaign in modern New York history – a campaign of slurs, erratic attacks, and fringe ideas."

Paladino Badmouths Same Politicians He Showers With $$

Paladino has given $468,787 to politicians, many of whom he's derided publicly, the Buffalo News reports: "[T]here is a clear pattern: The more Paladino has given to politicians, the more government contracts he has been awarded."

Meanwhile, experts say Paladino's business ties -- 15 of his companies have ties to Albany -- would be a conflict as a governor.

'[Paladino] Living On Cloud Cuckooland'

David Bennett, an Syracuse University history professor, tells the Syracuse Post-Standard that Paladino's account of helping to defuse the 1970 SU student strike is "completely wrong."

"He’s either living in Cloud Cuckooland or, shall we say, his historical memory is clouded by whatever it is."
